Fusion Atelier B.V. is the controller of the personal data in this app. This says what the app collects, why, who else sees it, and how to get rid of it.
What the app holds
- Your account: your name, your email address, which sign-in you used, and a picture if you set one.
- Your place: which place you are in, which room, what share of the bills that room carries, and when you joined.
- What you write: wall posts and polls, shopping and fridge lists, chores and cleaning, receipts with amounts and dates, and any photos you attach.
- Your subscription status: whether the place is paid for, and until when. We never see your card, and Apple never gives it to us.
- A little about your device, kept so a session can be recognised and so we can work out what went wrong when something breaks.
Why the app holds it
To run the app you asked for: a household cannot share a shopping list without storing the list. Beyond that, to keep accounts secure and to stop abuse, which is our legitimate interest. The camera and your photo library are used only with the permission you give on your device, which you can take back in Settings at any time.
There is no advertising in Habitatio. Nothing here is sold, and nothing is shared with anybody for their own purposes.
Who else processes it
- Google Firebase, for sign-in, the database and the photo storage. Data is held in the European Union, in Google's europe-west1 region.
- Apple, for the subscription. Apple tells the app whether a subscription is active; the payment happens entirely in your Apple Account.
- Open Food Facts, when you scan a barcode. The barcode is sent, and nothing else: not your name, not your place, not what else is in your fridge.
Who can see what you write
The people in your place, and nobody else. A receipt you log, a note you post and a photo you attach are visible to your flatmates, which is the point of a shared home. They are not public, and they are not visible to other places.
How long it stays
While your account exists. When you delete your account it goes inactive at once and everything personal about you is erased fourteen days later; you can change your mind inside that fortnight. What a place needs to stay honest, which is the ledger of what was spent and settled, stays with the place, without your personal details attached.
Photos you delete are removed from storage. Things the app forgets by design, such as what was bought today or a post that has expired, go on their own schedule, which the app describes where it shows them.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or erased, ask us to stop processing it, or take it elsewhere. Write to office@fusionatelier.nl and we will answer within a month. If you think we have handled your data badly you can complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the Dutch data protection authority.
Children
Habitatio is not meant for people under 16, and we do not knowingly keep data about them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the app will show the new version and the date it took effect. The version you are reading is stamped at the top of this screen.
